CEO: Johan Bender
Johan studied pharmacy at Utrecht University (PharmD, 1995). After graduation, Johan worked for 2 years in R&D and Validation of Analytical Methods at Pharmachemie (TEVA) followed by three years of GLP Study Director clinical trials at Medinet CRL (Analytico). In 2000, Johan became managing director of Bactimm and in 2002 co-owner of Bactimm/Farmalyse. These GMP contract labs were sold to aap bioImplants AG in 2007. After this, Johan remained managing director of Bactimm/Farmalyse and next to becoming Director R&D aap bioImplants Netherlands BV. He left aap at the end of 2009 and founded GATT Technologies BV in August 2011. Johan has a number of patents: technologies focus on adhesion, anti-adhesion and drug delivery.
CBO: Rob Lips
Rob is a General Manager with 25 years of extensive international management experience, in building, growing and turn-around of businesses in the global healthcare industry. 1994-2005 General Manager global sales and marketing of Philips Healthcare x-ray; 2005-2008 General Manager Philips Healthcare Incubator; Currently (2008-today) he is owner and Managing Director of R. Lips Healthcare GmbH and R. Lips Beheer BV to develop and realize the business and value of promising healthcare companies. Rob is founding and managing partner of Healthcare Angels and Board Member of Hemics BV. Rob holds an M.Sc. in Electrotechnics from the University of Technology in Eindhoven.
CFO: André de Lege
André studied accountancy at NIVRA and graduated as “RA” in 1995. André worked for 12 years within Deloitte and from 2000-2009 as Finance Director for medtech company E.M.C.M. B.V., in 2007 acquired by aap bioImplants AG. In 2010, André became partner at Genium Group in Nijmegen. André is part time CFO and consultant for a number of companies and has a corporate finance (mergers and acquisitions) practice. André was actively involved in the founding of GATT Technologies BV in 2011 and holds a minority interest in the company.
CLO: Mark Giesbers
Mark studied law at Radboud University in Nijmegen and started his working career at a grants consultancy firm. As division manager and vice president, Mark was jointly responsible for a rapid growth of this firm into one of the largest in the Netherlands. After ten years he left this company for one of the subsidiaries of Conclusion, an organization with 25 specialized subsidiaries in people business and more than 1,100 employees. In 2006 Mark joined Genium Group as co-owner, consultant and business developer, especially for medical start-ups. In 2016 Mark started a new company in business innovation, called MRK ONE Innovators. Within GATT Technologies BV, Mark deals with legal matters and business grants.
Director RA: Etienne Crombach
Provides consultative services from pre-marketing to post-marketing within the technical, quality, regulatory affairs and compliance areas to pharmaceutical, class I/II/III medical device and biotech companies. Key areas of focus include product development and commercialization strategies, regulatory classifications, applications and submissions, regulatory and (pre) clinical consulting, implementation and remediation of quality management systems and documentation, inspection readiness and supply chain control.
Crombach Consultancy has the technical and regulatory expertise to support SME companies in managing and maintaining compliance with the applicable regulations regarding development, manufacturing and marketing activities, including the development and control of product technical files, submissions and reporting of data in accordance with applicable regulations to competent authorities and notified bodies.
Furthermore, Etienne Crombach is qualified and assigned by notified bodies SNCH and DEKRA to perform pan-European audits to the criteria relevant for medical devices (EN ISO 13485, MDD 93/42/EEC) on a subcontractor basis.
